Isle of Man Weekend

Last weekend a friend and I went to the Isle of Man to ride the famous TT course - a 37 mile road circuit taking in some of the best, and fastest (there is no speed restriction outside of towns) roads in the country.

After the awful weather we have been having here for the last couple of months we were a little worried about our prospects, but we were incredibly lucky, with sunshine for both days (until arriving back in England that is).

I haven't had a chance to go through my photos properly yet, and only had my phone with me to take shots with, but here is the first - my Suzuki GSX-R600 on the mountain road, with a view towards Ramsey.

I drove the Sea to Sky to whistler this weekend and this bike would have been fun to ride on the new highway! Very cool.

Is there a new Sea to Sky? I remember driving that road - it was always early morning when I did it for some reason and the views, with cloud lying low, were always amazing

The entire highway is being rebuilt for the 2010 Olympics. They have already done a major portion of the project. They have blasted away a lot of rock and also built it out off the cliffs. It doesn’t have as many of the tight turns as before but it is an incredible road, the scenery was fantastic, this week I will be posting some images form Whistler and the Vancouver area, the weather has been excellent so it provided some great opportunities to see the city.
